about, & how!

i grew up in northern california, where a sneaky inclination towards printed paper goods began early on.  much time was spent at my father’s menlo park print shop becoming immersed in the details of paper & typesetting, & i started my first venture in the 5th grade (a hand-lettered poster business called the letter shop).  eventually i made my way to los angeles for a degree in architecture.
