i love seeing how paper & type’s fill-in-the-blank series is filled out by other folks. above, examples of little notes on display at myrtle.
thanks, whitney!
i’m happy to share that PAPER & TYPE stationery may now be found in a lovely shop called myrtle, located in echo park, los angeles! the very kind whitney has curated a collection of goods by designers (hetterson, kyyote, fieldguided..) that i’ve only had a chance to eye from afar until now. she’s also designed & outfitted the shop in a most delicate & darling way (i could live in it). P&T will be among good company over by that vintage typewriter.
do visit:
2213 sunset boulevard, with a grand opening this saturday, december 10, 5–10pm.

will you be shopping at unique LA this weekend? i’ll be at table #9, trying not to be shy.
a watchwork x paper&type collaboration for our lovely (& awesome) friends, matt & jackie.
…
more photos of the cool cats here,
& a save-the-date short film there.
two years ago (two years already?) i shared with you all the letter-writing regimen of my grade school years. this structured routine included quite detailed record keeping, & with the fairly frequent correspondence of late, i’ve been wanting to design the very notebook i would have torn right through as a 12-year-old.
& so i present… the letter ledger. as equally alliterative & sized as the perpetual planner.
it’s a limited quantity experiment for the time being. i’m intensely curious to see if there is anyone else out there who is as meticulous as my 5th grade self. kindly (i said kindly) let me know if that person is you (or someone you know).
busied with a variety of projects this week. looking forward to sharing with you all soon!
the second collaborative calendar of le petit elefant + paper & type is now available for peeking, posting, purchasing, presenting!
2012 is inspired by the thoughtfulness and charm of sending (and receiving!) correspondence and packages by post (& then some). as with our previous collaboration, this calendar features artwork to keep &/or share – simply tear at the perforated line (see photo below). it’s now available at the shop.
on that note, paper & type will be present at a few fairs this holiday. come visit! i’d love to meet & talk paper with you (topics of your choice are welcome too, of course)…
patchwork festival / november 13 / culver city
unique LA / december 3–4 / downtown LA
soho house / december 10 / west hollywood

more details & holiday cards, soon!
