spotted the above at the shop of the ever trusty present & correct. that type! that red! that letter V! i had to have these, of course. & so the impulsive purchase took place.

now i await.
i already have too many totes to tally, but this one has it in the (tote) bag. can you imagine?:
me: will you please bring my tote?
you: which one?
me: le tote.
you: a-ha!

pale blue typewriter bliss!
& was anyone else an avid reader of the little house on the prairie series? i always loved when ma would say “a place for everything, and everything in its place.”

the other evening i enjoyed every bit of wondering about at brand bookshop, a used bookstore in glendale (just a skip away from the guava cheese at porto’s bakery). there inside works a wonderfully sharp old fellow whose cracks kept me chuckling throughout my visit. loved the section titled ‘books on books’, but what i really got lost in were the books on plants & flowers. there was an old old field guide (older than this one) that also addressed the flowers by colors, but it followed with a special chapter on the ‘unpleasantly scented flowers’. was happy to come away with the title ‘exotic plants’ & a guidebook on leaves; wasn’t too happy about being tricked (by my own hand, no one else’s) into opening a book on termites (the cover was misleadingly stately).
excited to share more photos with you soon.
